A
compassionate professional who listens to YOUR needs
Dr.
Santoro, DC - Bibliography
Dr.
Santoro's philosophy of care. I feel my job is to evaluate your health
concern to the best of my ability, and then, to report to you the
best treatment options. I look at your job as to weigh your options
and determine to what degree you want treatment and how fast you want
to get better.
And,
since Dr. Santoro is a sole practioner he personally provides all
aspects of your treatment. This adds consistency of care and ultimately
more effective treatment.
Dr.
Santoro incorporates exercise, stretching, rehabilitation, and physiotherapy
along with various chiropractic treatment techniques in his treatment
protocol. Nutritional advise is given upon request. In private practice
since 1980, with over 20 years experience, Dr. Santoro has evaluated
and treated thousands of patients and is comfortable treating patients
of all ages, from the newborn to the more experienced senior citizen.
Dr. Santoro enjoys treating athletes and, being in south Florida,
golf and tennis are his favorites. Dr. Santoro played college tennis
and is a 6 handicap in golf. It is not unusual for Dr. Santoro to
give a patient a quick chipping or putting lesson in the hallway of
his office!!!
Dr.
Santoro has always been a good student, starting in High School as
a member of the National Honor Society, through his undergraduate
work in which he attained a Bachelor s degree in the Biological Sciences
from Rutgers College in 1977. Dr Al, as his patients like to call
him, then had a decision to make. You see, he was accepted to both
dental and chiropractic schools. After much contemplation and deliberation
Dr. Al decided that he could have a greater impact on the health of
patients by becoming a chiropractor. Dr. Santoro graduated Magna Cum
Laude from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1980. Just one year later,
he married Diane Whitmore, also a chiropractor. Diane is originally
from Illinois. They have a family of four active children who have
been known to ask for chiropractic treatment on their own, when those
inevitable slips and falls occur. Dr. Santoro passed the National
Board of Chiropractic Examiners on his first attempt and started practice
in his home town, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ in 1981. In 1983 Dr. Santoro
completed an extensive year long program in the treatment of sports
injuries. Some of Dr. Santoro s most memorable patient encounters
have been with professional hockey players, baseball players, and
golfers from both the LPGA and PGA tours. He has treated many college
and high school athletes. While the treatment of athletes may be his
passion, Dr. Santoro has found tremendous satisfaction in helping
victims of auto injuries and has set up various treatment modalities
to address the specific needs of auto injuries. In 1988, Dr. Santoro
moved to Florida and set up practice in Delray Beach, his current
practice location. He comes from quite the chiropractic family, with
wife, brother and sister all being chiropractors. |
